Just like when you were in grade school, the first day is always the easiest - and the most important. During this first lesson, you'll not only get a historical overview of the sport, but also introduced to the fundamentals, including everything from how to dress and act on the golf course to the purpose of each club and even get on the golf course to hit a few putts.
You've taken your first steps on the course and to becoming a golfer! During the second lesson, you'll learn the art of chipping, pitching and hitting out of green-side bunkers as you learn your way around the course being out there for the second time.
During a round of golf, when you’ve reached the halfway mark it is called “the turn.” During Get Golf Ready, the turn means you’re halfway to becoming a golfer. On day three, you’ll be introduced to the fairway and how to use your irons, in addition to important lessons like stretching, making and repairing divots.
By this point, you should be familiar with the putting green, the fairway, bunkers and even the rough. Now it’s time to step into the tee box and take a swing. On the fourth day, you’ll learn everything you’ll need to know about teeing off, including which of your metal-woods to use and choosing between the different tee markers.
Over the course of the first four sessions, you’ve learned the what, when, where, why and how. Now it’s time to do. On the final day, you’ll finish up by learning how to play, keep score and some basic rules like water hazards, out of bounds and lost balls. And then when all is said and done, you’ll put it to use by playing an entire hole.

This comprehensive 4 week program is designed for golfers that understand the basics of golf, but are actively looking to increase their skills, and lower their scores. This class will improve your course management with on course instruction, teach you to hit shots that will put you in a better position on the course, and improve the shots you already have. Limited to 5 students
Back to Basics/Short Game
This session explores our individual skill sets and focuses mainly on the short game. Our goal is to see a
consistent strike of the ball, and learn about tendencies that hinder you from making good swings. The
first class will determine what areas of the game are most important to improving your score. We will
also do a skills challenge including tough lies in the full swing and short game.
Fundamentals of the Full-Swing
After exploring the short game you will notice the similarities between the basic fundamentals of chipping and putting, and the beginning stages of the takeaway and finish. As we get comfortable with the basics we will begin to focus on target practice (alignment). Secondly, just as we did in the short game, we will emphasize the importance of distance control (club selection). Knowing how far your clubs go and which club to use plays a crucial role in getting around the golf course efficiently. We will also introduce the “punch” shot which is key to effective course management.
Back to Basics Recap/Short-Game Recap
Week three will focus on the different types of shots around the green. Rarely do we ever have a flat lie
on the golf course, so practicing these shots is very important. We will go over the fundamentals of the
short-game, which segways into specialty shots around the green (bunker shots, flighting the ball, etc.).
Introduction to the course
Yes, this class involves some on course instruction! The final day will be spent mostly on course, where
we will be put into situations on the golf course that are commonly mishandled by golfers. In addition to
the on course instruction, we will revisit the skills challenge from day one, and see how much our course
